June 2025

At Sodexo Live!, we are dedicated to fostering a deeper sense of belonging—a culture of inclusion that enriches the workplace experience for everyone throughout the year. Our priority is to ensure that every member of our diverse team feels valued and connected, contributing to a supportive environment where all voices are valued and appreciated.

The Heart of Our Commitment

True inclusivity is about creating a nurturing space for everyone. Ryan Jordan, Senior Graphic Designer, shared this sentiment: "Being able to work without constantly monitoring every action or movement creates a more comfortable ecosystem for everyone. Not being able to be who you are is debilitating." Reflecting on his personal journey, Ryan thought back on a previous workplace experience that reinforced his commitment to finding genuinely inclusive environments. "For me, there's just no going back. I am an open, proud gay man. I'm married, and it's a very big part of my life."

Support Beyond Symbols

The historical roots of the LGBTQ+ movement are deeply embedded in activism and resistance against oppression and discrimination. Ryan emphasized that "Pride is protest. Pride has always been, and will always be, a protest in my eyes." A pivotal moment in this history was the Stonewall Riots of 1969, where community members bravely stood up against injustices to fight for their rights. "This legacy of protest is essential for understanding Pride today; it represents not only a celebration of identities but also a reminder of the ongoing fight for equality."

Ryan Jordan

"The ability to just exist as a human being was not something that we always had the luxury of. It's more important than ever to understand that the rights that we have are as easily taken away from us as they were given."

Ryan Jordan
Senior Graphic Designer

Ryan emphasized that Pride is not merely about enjoying one month out of the year; it is about fostering a culture of continuous engagement and a deep understanding of the issues at hand. "Corporate pride is only believable if the resources and commitment are present year-round," Ryan said. "At Sodexo Live!, that commitment is clear. The support and community we experience at work won't disappear after June." This continuous support, including workshops, training sessions, and open forums for discussion, is a testament to our commitment to the well-being and growth of every individual.

Looking Ahead

Our commitment to inclusion is not just a goal—it's an ongoing promise. It is an ongoing journey of learning, understanding, and growth as we strive to break down barriers and build bridges of empathy.
