Transforming Plant-Based Options

Land Lovers has developed a revolutionary patented process that produces a delicious, animal-free steak that closely resembles beef in appearance, cooking, and taste. Made from simple, high-protein plant-based ingredients, Land Lovers uses only a fraction of the water and energy and produces significantly less pollution compared to traditional meat production.

The introduction of Land Lovers stemmed from collaboration and open communication between the Sodexo Live! team and Shedd Aquarium. Their role was to ensure that the taste and quality of the product aligned with both organizations' visions. "This new product absorbs flavors beautifully, creating a delicious and satisfying experience for every palate," said Chef Mockler. "Many guests double-check with us to confirm that it is truly a plant-based option and not real meat."

Created by Dr. Huan Xia—a vegan, former meat lover, and passionate food scientist who knows what it takes to make a good steak--Land Lovers is on a mission to revolutionize the alternative meat market. "After switching to a plant-based diet, I discovered one of my biggest obstacles was finding a delicious and nutritious source of protein," explained Dr. Xia. "I knew that if I could create a plant-based protein as good or better than steak, I could convince others to experience the benefits of a vegan diet without giving up the food experiences they love."
